Ryan Pfluger’s portraits of Kickstarter co-founders Perry Chen, Charles Adler, and Yancey Strickler were published today for TIME.
Kickstarter, “a funding platform for creative projects,” was started by the founders in 2009, and has since become a phenomenon that has enabled the creation of films, inventions, books, festivals, clothing, and countless other projects from all over America. Often, pledge supporters will receive a thank you gift, such as a finished copy of the book, film, or project.
