It’s important to keep good working relationships.
Through the referral of a retoucher he worked with previously, Ryan Schude received a call from Country Music Television to photograph the promotional images for season 3 of Redneck Island.
Ryan found a bit of more fortune when he realized that another photographer and friend, Lauren Randolph, was also hired for the shoot. The two had collaborated in the past, which made a comfortable environment for photographing.
“Working with another photographer, you take their opinions differently,” Ryan said. He explained that being around someone with similar skills helped push him to make better photos and made a long 12-hour day go by easier.
When shooting Steve Austin, Ryan “was pleasantly surprised” with how nice the professional wrestler was, especially when he offered them more of his time than needed for the shoot.
Ryan said CMT was “very happy” after the shoot. And so was Ryan; he enjoyed photographing for CMT. His professional working style paid off: a smoothly run shoot with happy clients.
