Glasshouse Assignment photographer David Bishop has extended his unique botanical imagery to include the art of Bonsai. His collaboration with world renowned Bonsai expert Bjorn Bjorholm of Eisei-en captures the incredible entre, the foremost American born Bonsai artist and instructor. Bonsai with Bjorn’s living masterpieces.

Bjorn L. Bjorholm, owner of Eisei-en, is a bonsai artist and instructor who spent six years as an apprentice under Master Keiichi Fujikawa followed by three years as artist-in-residence, making him the first and only foreign-born working bonsai professional in Japan. During his time in Japan, Bjorn’s works were featured in the Kokufu-ten, Sakufu-ten and Taikan-ten exhibitions, among many others.
